Facilities Supervisor

Facilities Supervisor, Licensed ElectricianSalary: $50,000.00-$60,000.00Position Purpose: Under the direct supervision of the Director of Facilities or designee, provide supervision and leadership to required facilities employees and students and provide industry level electrical, fire, elevator, generator and elevator facilities services in the performance of preventative maintenance, maintenance, repair, reconfiguration, construction, and/or restoration. Provide customer service to College departments, staff, students, representatives, partners and to the public. Must adhere to Ohio, OSHA and institutional safety standards and plan, prioritize, and complete work in most safe and efficient way while working in accordance with all city, state, and federal building codes.Duties and Responsibilities:Provide leadership and supervision to required facilities staff and students.Manage facilities staff, student work schedules, work assignment, activities and manage College projects.Manage, distribute, train and evaluate facilities staff and student employees.Provide industry level electrical work in the performance of construction, maintenance, repair, reconfiguration, and restoration in relation to electricity; including but not limited to various pieces of electrical equipment, circuits, panels, switches, fans, motors, fixtures and overhead and underground utility services.Provide industry level work in the performance of preventative maintenance, maintenance, repair, reconfiguration, construction, installation and/or restoration in relation to life safety fire alarm systems.Perform skilled labor in the performance of preventative maintenance, maintenance, repair, reconfiguration, construction, and/or restoration in relation to telecommunications, phone, internet, cabling, and distribution lines.Performs skilled labor in the performance of preventative maintenance, maintenance, repair, reconfiguration, construction, and/or restoration in relation to conduit and security lines and devices and equipment.Performs skilled labor in the performance of preventative maintenance, maintenance, repair, reconfiguration, construction, and/or restoration in relation to all college elevators and generators.Performs skilled labor in the performance of preventative maintenance, maintenance, repair, reconfiguration, construction, and/or restoration in relation to facilities work tickets.Read and utilize sealed plans, blueprints, schematics, drawings, and building codes and host inspections.Plan, prioritize, and complete work in most safe and efficient way while working in accordance with all city, state, and federal codes.Present continuing recommendations for institutional process improvements.Create and complete materials list, estimates, bid proposals, work orders, and purchase orders for needed tools, equipment, assets and stock inventories.Follow institution and state purchasing processes and procedures.Provide customer service to College departments, staff, students, representatives, and to the public.Work indoor and outdoor in inclement weather day to day, at special events and at multiple campus locations.Engage in professional development activities to gain additional industry certification and licensure as required.Use technology in the performance daily communication, record keeping, proposals, schedules and asset and inventory tracking.Work with student employees in the successful daily operations of the institution.Safely operate college vehicles, diagnostic equipment, machinery and hand and power tools.Assist with special event arrangements and preparations.Follow all Hocking College policies and procedures in relation to all duties performed.Perform and complete other work as assigned.Qualifications – Education, Experience, and Skills:Fire extinguisher certification required and must be maintained.Ohio fire alarm certification required and must be maintained.Valid state electrical license and number (2 years to achieve).Ohio sprinkler certificate (3 years to achieve).Ohio backflow certification (4 years to achieve).Experience in the construction permitting and inspection process.Five (5) years' experience working as a commercial electrician.Demonstrated ability to read and interpret architectural and engineer drawings.Demonstrated ability to research and interpret state and national electric codes.Knowledge of OSHA safety rules and regulations.Physical Requirements:Lift 50 pounds without assistance.
