Dental Assistant - DA $2000 Bonus (79245)

Job Overview Dental Assistant – Full‑time position at the South Idaho Correctional Institution, Kuna, Idaho. Location: Kuna – South Idaho Correctional Institution, Kuna, ID 83634. Shift: As needed, with regular hours 6am‑4:30pm Tuesday‑Friday (10‑hour days). Pay: $20‑$27 per hour, depending on experience, plus a $2,000 bonus for new hires. Responsibilities Assist the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist with chairside dentistry in a correctional setting. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments. Maintain the dental operatory and perform administrative tasks as needed. Operate radiographic equipment, including dental x‑rays. Qualifications High‑school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or six months of experience as a dental assistant required. Idaho dental‑assistant license or ability to obtain one. Certification as an expanded‑duty dental assistant preferred (must be obtained within the first year if not possessed). Certification and/or prior experience performing dental x‑rays preferred. Current tuberculosis screening documentation and active CPR certification. Ability to obtain a security clearance, including drug screen and criminal background check.
