Job Summary
ORT (Operating Room Technician) for a healthcare facility in the area. This role involves supporting the surgical team by preparing and maintaining the operating room environment, assisting during surgeries, and ensuring safety and sterilization protocols are followed. The position requires flexibility to stay past scheduled hours to support ongoing surgical procedures.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery-Certified (TSC); 2 years of experience; must be flexible with schedule; available for 3 days of 12-hour shifts, with shift hours from 6:30 am to 7 pm, Monday through Friday, with call from 7 pm to 6:30 am five days every 12-week period.
• Schedule: Days, Mids, Nights, Rotating: 6:30 am 7 pm, Monday Friday no set days.
• Responsibilities include setting up sterile equipment, assisting during surgeries across multiple service lines including Orthopedics, ENT, Thoracic, Neuro Spine, Eyes, General, Gynecology, and Urology; assisting with patient prep, specimen handling, and cleanup.
• Ensure all medications are prepared and administered according to policies; support safe and sterile environment through continual alertness and proper aseptic technique.
• May help transfer patients to recovery and restock operating rooms as needed.
• Must be flexible to stay past 7 pm to finish cases if more than one operating room is still running.
