Providence Health and Services Irvine , CA NEW Full Time Description Nurse Manager- NICU at Providence St Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, CA. This position will work Full Time, 8-hour Day shifts. Providence St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, CA was designated as a Magnet organization in 2015 and 2020 by the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program. This prestigious designation recognizes excellence in nursing services. In April 2025, Providence St. Jude Medical Center is applying for redesignation. Responsibilities Provides an optimal practice environment that ensures the delivery of quality patient care. Responsible for planning, directing and managing the nursing care delivered to a designated patient population on one or more nursing units. Oversees the 24-operation of the patient care unit with accountability for leadership, budget preparation and overall fiscal management, staffing, planning, employee relations, patient satisfaction, practice guidelines for specialty, organizing and controlling. Role models proactive, collaborative working relationships across all hospital functions in an interdisciplinary approach to patient care. Develops programs, policies, procedures, and standards of care to ensure patient's nursing care needs are assessed, evaluated, and met. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in nursing. Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association Within 1 year of hire: National specialty certification 5 years of Recent experience in acute hospital setting. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in nursing or related field. Supervisory experience. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
