Job TitleMedical Assistant – CertifiedJob DescriptionThe Medical Assistant – Certified provides clinical, clerical, and administrative tasks in an OMP outpatient clinic. Under the supervision and direction of a provider (physician or advanced practice clinician) or Medical Office Nurse Coordinator, the certified Medical Assistant performs duties that are consistent with his/her Medical Assistant education, training, experience and certification.EducationHigh school diploma/GED requiredCompletion of Medical Assistant program accredited or approved by the Washington Department of Health requiredExperienceOne year of experience in health care in an outpatient clinic preferred (experience specific to the type of clinic being hired for is preferred)Licensure/CredentialsBasic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.Current Medical Assistant – Certification issued by the WA State Department of Health.
