Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg

Travel RN – Neuro Med/Surg/Tele

Schedule

12-hour night shifts; every other weekend required.

Assignment Details

Contract length: 13–26 weeks; available hours: 36- or 48-hour options.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years RN experience.
• At least 1 year direct Med/Surg experience.
• Must have 2 prior successful travel contracts; first-time travelers are not accepted.
• Licensure: NC or Compact license pending acceptable for submittal.
• Certifications: BLS/BCLS, NIHSS required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience with telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV starts, and seizure management.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with stroke and other neuro/neurosurgery diagnoses.
• Monitor patients' conditions and provide necessary interventions.
• Management of IV lines and peripheral/central line care.
• Participate in rapid response and code team processes.
• Floating to other MedSurg/Tele areas may be required.

Compliance / Notes

Orientation: 36 hours. If a shift is called out, a make-up shift is required per unit policy. Flu vaccine is required; medical/religious exemptions are allowed. Parking details will be provided.
