Job Description
TITLE
RN - Telemetry / PCU

SCHEDULE
- Shift ratios: 4:5 (days, nights, weekends)
- Weekends: Every other weekend

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
- Unit census: 36 rooms; average daily census ~35

REQUIREMENTS
- License: GA RN or Compact license required at time of submission
- Minimum: 2 years RN experience
- Charting: Epic required
- Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (NIHSS preferred)
- Clinical skills:
- Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Pre/post cardiac cath and post-MI care
- Management of chest tubes, central/PICC lines, IV starts/maintenance
- Oxygen therapies, HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, non-invasive airway support
- ABG interpretation, blood product administration, renal failure care
- Insulin/anticoagulation protocols, PCA familiarity
- Rapid Response/Code team participation, wound care/VAC

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor patients' cardiac status and vital signs in a telemetry unit.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring safety and efficacy.
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment options, and preventative care.
- Respond to changes in patient conditions promptly and effectively.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain patient records accurately.

COMPLIANCE / NOTES
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- All compliance documents due the Tuesday prior to start
- RTO (Requested Time Off): Max 7 days per contract; ALL RTO must be finalized at time of submission
- RTO blackout: Spring Break (no RTO)
