About the Position

Job Title: CT Tech Profession: Tech Specialty: CT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 2030-0700 Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Two (2) years current experience required License: NM State License Certifications: - BLS required (must be from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety and Health Institute) - Primary ARRT certification required - ARRT(CT) is required Must-Have: - Computerized Tomographic Radiography - Exam Review - Exam Prioritization - Critical Situation Communication - Knowledge of Client Policies and Procedures Description: Floating between departments and local locations within 20 miles is required. Performs computerized tomographic radiographs according to established practices and procedures. Reviews exams for clinical appropriateness. Appropriately prioritizes exams. Demonstrates effective communication of critical situations. Is knowledgeable regarding hospital policies and procedures. Epic experience is preferred. A supply of a dose badge is essential for monitoring radiation exposure in the workplace. Each employee's cumulative dose must be tracked. It is the agency's responsibility to provide these badges. Dosimeters must be replaced and evaluated quarterly to ensure their reliability. Failure to supply an employee with a dose badge can lead to consequences, including contract termination. Agencies must prioritize the issuance and management of dose badges to ensure a safe working environment.
