Transportation/Roadway Staff Engineer

Job DescriptionDewberry is currently seeking a RoadwayStaff Engineer in our growing Fairfax, VA office. The successful candidate will work on all phases of transportation projects for a variety of public and private sector clients.Transportation projects will include horizontal and vertical road alignments, drainage systems, storm water management, traffic studies, utility relocations, development of maintenance of traffic plans, and preparation of contract documents. The successful candidate must be flexible, technologically savvy, and client focused. Our commitment to excellence stems from our personal integrity and from other defining attributes, which we call “Dewberry at Work,” that have inspired our employees to be successful for more than a half-century.Required Skills & Required ExperienceBS degree in Civil Engineering or related field.VA PE license, or the ability to obtain within 1 year.3-8 years of experience in transportation engineering.Proficient with Microstation.Ability to work in a timely fashion to meet project budgets.Ability to communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, sub consultants, and county/agency review staff.Ability to compose technical reports, memorandums, and other written communication.Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.The projected range for this position is $88,000 - $113,000 annually.
