Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours Guaranteed Per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit serving adult and geriatric populations across two units (22 beds each) with patient ratios of up to 6:1 or 7:1
• Monitor and manage patients with common diagnoses including post-surgical care, peritoneal dialysis exchanges, catheter/line placements, and psychiatric-related needs
• Utilize telemetry equipment to monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using the MEDITECH electronic health record system
• Float as a second nurse to Telemetry and the Emergency Department as needed
• Work every other weekend as part of the standard scheduling rotation

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; minimum education of an Associate's Degree in Nursing
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Current BLS certification (required)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification (required)
• Proficiency with MEDITECH electronic health record system
• Ability to float to Telemetry and ED as a second nurse and adapt scheduling to unit needs

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and telemetry unit workflows
• Experience with geriatric and adult patient populations in an acute care environment
