Dental Receptionist

Dental Business Assistant Smile HQ Dental & Orthodontics is a family-friendly / cosmetic / pediatric / general dental practice dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in a warm, welcoming environment. We’re looking for a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Business Associate to be the first point of contact for our patients and a key part of our team. About the Role As our Business Assistant, you’ll manage the day-to-day administrative operations of the practice, ensuring patients have a seamless experience from check-in to check-out. You’ll be the face and voice of our office — greeting patients, managing schedules, handling insurance and billing tasks, and supporting our clinical team to keep things running smoothly. What You’ll Do Greet and check in/out patients with a warm, professional demeanor Answer phones, schedule and confirm appointments, and manage the practice calendar Verify dental insurance benefits and eligibility Process patient payments, co-pays, and outstanding balances Maintain accurate patient records in the practice management software Coordinate referrals and communicate with specialists’ offices as needed Manage recall and reactivation lists to keep the schedule full Handle patient inquiries via phone, email, and in person Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front office Support office operations and basic administrative tasks What We’re Looking For High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree a plus 1+ years of front desk experience in a dental or medical office preferred Familiarity with dental insurance and billing processes Experience with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental) a plus Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment A positive, patient-first attitude and genuine team player mindset What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Retirement plan / 401(k) Continuing education opportunities A supportive, collaborative team environment Smile HQ Dental and Orthodontics is an equal opportunity employer.
