Clinical Scope

Provide comprehensive preventive and periodontal hygiene care, including:

• Routine hygiene and preventive care
• Periodontal maintenance
• Scaling and root planing (SRP)
• Periodontal assessments
• Oral hygiene instruction
• Patient education
• Identifying and communicating recommended treatment
• Supporting treatment acceptance through patient education

New patients are typically evaluated by the doctor first, allowing the hygienist to focus on comprehensive hygiene care and developing long-term patient relationships.

Candidate Profile

We're looking for a hygienist who is passionate about patient care and confident in their clinical abilities.

The ideal candidate will be:

• An experienced Registered Dental Hygienist
• Strong in periodontal care
• Comfortable performing SRP and periodontal maintenance
• Confident educating patients about periodontal disease
• A personable, outgoing communicator
• Comfortable discussing treatment recommendations with patients
• Comfortable working with a diverse patient population
• Flexible and adaptable
• A collaborative team player
• Motivated to contribute to patient outcomes and practice growth

An active Illinois dental hygiene license is preferred.

Indiana-licensed hygienists who are willing to obtain Illinois licensure will also be considered.
