We are committed to creating a fun, safe, and positive environment while delivering exceptional clinical outcomes.Position OverviewThe Pediatric Dental Hygienist plays a critical role in promoting oral health and delivering preventive dental care to children. This role focuses on patient education, clinical excellence, and creating a comfortable and engaging experience for pediatric patients.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform dental cleanings (prophylaxis) and preventive treatments for pediatric patientsConduct oral health assessments and chart conditions for the doctor's reviewApply fluoride treatments and dental sealantsTake and review dental radiographs (X-rays) in accordance with state regulationsEducate patients and parents on proper oral hygiene and preventive careHelp create a positive, calm, and engaging experience for childrenIdentify potential oral health concerns and communicate findings to the dentistMaintain accurate and thorough patient recordsSupport office flow and collaborate with the clinical teamQualificationsActive Dental Hygienist license in the state of practiceCPR/BLS certification requiredExperience working with pediatric patients preferredStrong knowledge of preventive dental care and patient educationFamiliarity with dental software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, etc.) preferredExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentWhat We're Looking ForPassion for working with childrenFriendly, patient, and upbeat demeanorStrong attention to detail and clinical excellenceAbility to educate and engage both children and parentsTeam-oriented with a positive attitude Vitana Pediatric & Orthodontic Partners
