Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Med Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years License: Active RN License in Ohio Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: Must be competent with cardiac medications and have knowledge of titration and application of these medications. Must be competent in telemetry and possess knowledge of heart rhythms. Must possess critical thinking skills and be able to recognize changes in patient status and intervene. Must possess knowledge of signs and symptoms of stroke and recognize changes in patient status and intervene. Must have strong communication skills. Description: Functioning within the organization's mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures, the Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients on their shift. RN responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria. Judgments are made based upon scientific knowledge and clinical skills. The RN also assists in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff such as LPN/PCT and Unit Secretaries.
