MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a Data Engineer Sr Principal, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the Department of State. You will play a crucial role in development and delivering impactful solutions to support the Diplomatic Security bureau of the State Department. Designs, develops, maintains, and tests infrastructures for data generation as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams. Contributes to completion of milestones associated with specific projects. Creates and maintains optimal data pipeline architecture. Develops and conducts tests to ensure data solutions meet documented user requirements. Analyzes IT environments to identify and assess critical capabilities and recommend solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity. Collaborates with data science team to transform data and integrate algorithms and models into automated processes. Performs additional duties as assigned. Works with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs. The likely salary range for this position is $153,000 - $207,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
