About the Role
The Company is seeking a Group Vice President and General Manager for Applied Research Intelligence. This role is pivotal in leading a high-growth business that focuses on enterprise R&D intelligence, with a strong emphasis on connecting scientific knowledge to decision-making. The successful candidate will be the commercial owner and business builder, holding full P&L accountability for a significant revenue stream. Key responsibilities include defining and executing the market and commercial strategy, leading the shift towards higher-quality recurring revenue, and owning the operating expense budget and multi-year investment plan. The role also involves leading the commercial organization, driving demand generation, and building strategic partnerships to enhance the business's competitive position. Applicants must have a proven track record as a commercial GM in a data, AI, or technology business, with experience in scientific, patent/IP, or regulated R&D data ecosystems. Deep enterprise go-to-market experience in relevant sectors is essential, as is a strong understanding of data product economics and the ability to lead a commercial team through a period of strategic transformation. The ideal candidate will have a builder's orientation, be adept at representing the business externally, and have the commercial and technical fluency to engage with a range of stakeholders. An advanced degree in a scientific or business discipline is preferred, and a background in corporate R&D, IP, or scientific operations is a strong plus.
