Registered Nurse (RN) Surgery (OR) Job Type: Part-Time | PRN How You'll Contribute Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Performs plan-of-care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments. Documents patient care provided. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family. Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support. Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. What We're Looking For Current Tennessee or Compact State RN license and an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (BSN preferred). Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of hire, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of hire. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, and performance in a stressful environment. Preferred: One year of previous experience. Must hold a licensed RN in Tennessee or a Compact State RN with proper Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days of hire.
