Overview
Occupational Therapist – Acute Care travel assignment in Middletown, Rhode Island. Start date 08/31/2026 for 19 contract weeks. Weekly pay range $1,950–$2,047 per week with guaranteed hours of 35 per week. Shift: 5x8 days, 08:00–16:30. Setting: long-term care (LTC) nursing home.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for residents in an LTC setting and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement, monitor, and adjust therapeutic interventions to improve activities of daily living, mobility, and cognitive/psychosocial function.
- Document progress notes, goals, treatment responses, and discharge planning in accordance with regulatory and facility standards.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate care, optimize safety, and support successful transitions and discharge planning.
- Communicate with residents and families about goals, progress, and home programs; advocate for resident independence and quality of life.

Requirements
- Current, unrestricted occupational therapy license in Rhode Island or eligibility for licensure by endorsement
- 1+ year of related experience in LTC or acute care settings preferred
- Ability to work 35 hours per week; available for a travel assignment within the stated schedule
- Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills
- Proficiency with standard OT assessment tools and therapy modalities used in long-term care settings
