Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesist

Cone Health

Cone Health, a not-for-profit health care network serving the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina, is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care to surgical, procedural, and obstetric patients across a variety of acute care settings. Working in close collaboration with anesthesiologists, surgeons, proceduralists, and perioperative teams, you will perform comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments, develop and implement individualized anesthesia plans, administer all forms of anesthetic agents and adjunct therapies, manage patient airways and hemodynamic status, and oversee post-anesthesia recovery and pain control. You will participate in the full continuum of anesthesia services, including regional and neuraxial techniques, sedation and general anesthesia, and emergency airway and resuscitation support as needed. You will document all aspects of anesthesia care accurately and in a timely manner within the electronic medical record, ensuring compliance with Cone Health policies, regulatory standards, and evidence-based clinical guidelines. As a key clinical partner, you will help optimize patient safety and outcomes by engaging in preoperative optimization, intraoperative monitoring and adjustment of anesthetic plans, and postoperative evaluation, including identifying and managing complications. You will collaborate with nursing, pharmacy, and ancillary staff to coordinate care, contribute to enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) pathways, and support high-quality pain management and patient education. Cone Health fosters a collaborative and compassionate culture centered on patient care quality, diversity, and inclusivity. As a CRNA at Cone Health, you will be encouraged to participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical practice committees, and ongoing performance improvement projects that advance anesthesia practice and patient experience. You will also have opportunities to precept students, contribute to staff education, and stay current with evolving anesthesia techniques, pharmacology, and monitoring technologies through continuing education and professional development supported by the organization. This position is ideal for a CRNA who values teamwork, clinical excellence, and community-focused care. You will work within a dynamic healthcare environment that emphasizes innovative medical practices and multidisciplinary collaboration. Candidates should demonstrate strong clinical judgment, effective communication skills, and the ability to function independently within a collaborative anesthesia care model. Flexibility to cover a range of cases—such as general surgery, orthopedics, obstetrics, ambulatory procedures, and selected specialty services—along with participation in call or shift coverage as scheduled, is expected. Cone Health offers competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement savings options, in a supportive environment where you can grow your career while making a meaningful impact on the health of the Piedmont Triad community. #J-18808-Ljbffr
