About the Role

We're looking for an organized, friendly Project Accountant who is responsible for the proper accounting of assigned building projects. You'll be the point person for contracts, purchase orders, billing, and draw requests on your assigned jobs, keeping project financials accurate and up to date. You'll work closely with our Controller, Director of Operations, Construction Project Managers, field teams, clients, and subcontractors.

Primary Responsibilities

Draft contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders

Route documents for signature and execution, and keep all paperwork properly filed

Manage incoming bills and route them for approval and payment

Prepare monthly client draw requests and cost-to-complete reports for Project Manager review

Prepare closeout paperwork at the end of each job

Answer and make phone calls, greet office visitors, and help with general clerical work as needed

What We're Looking For

At least 3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, ideally in construction

Experience with job costing and draw/pay application processes

Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Clear, friendly communication with clients, vendors, and coworkers

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

A professional appearance and positive attitude
