Maintenance AssistantLocation - Onsite This is an onsite role that works at the Cashton Office Building in Cashton, WI. The shift/hours are 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Employee Type – Hourly Bonus – This position is eligible for a 3% annual incentive bonus based on cooperative and individual performance. We are driven by our mission to promote regional farm diversity and economic stability by the means of organic agricultural methods and the sale of certified organic products.Summary of Role The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for performing general maintenance repairs, inspection, landscape, snow removal, and up-keep work for Organic Valley locations as assigned. This is a safety sensitive role.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesInspect, troubleshoot, and repair areas as assigned by supervisorLandscape management, including weeding, mowing, and maintenance projectsWater trees and landscape/garden areasEvaluate maintenance, servicing and repair needs, and establish repair prioritiesPerform routine maintenance checks as scheduledDetermine necessary parts needed to complete repairsResearch equipment parts and materials to secure best source, price and qualityInterior painting, as neededOrder parts approved by facilities leadershipRemove snow and ice using shovel or machineryKeep track of parts, tools and equipment inventoryPerform staff movesAssist with cubicle change outs and renovationsAssist with room setupsAdditional Duties and ResponsibilitiesSecure quotes and bids as neededOther duties as assigned by supervisorKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesTwo years of commercial maintenance experience preferredBasic record-keeping and shop math skillsBasic understanding of good manufacturing practices preferredThe ability to establish work priorities and develop work schedulesThe ability to frequently pull, push, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with assistanceThe ability to bend at the waist, kneel, reach overhead and above the shoulders in order to perform repairsThe ability to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends for snow removalThe ability to operate a skid steer is preferredMust obtain and maintain forklift operator certificateMust possess a valid driver's license to operate company vehiclesMust be familiar with common safety proceduresBasic computer skills a mustBase hourly wage range: $21.37 - $25.91/hour The typical hourly wage for a new hire with little or no experience is $21.37. This hourly wage range is exclusive of fringe benefits. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary bonuses. If you are hired at CROPP, your final base hourly wage compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer.
