Job Description LanceSoft is seeking a travel nurse RN Intermediate Care for a travel nursing job in Springfield, Illinois. Key Details Specialty: Intermediate Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 07/20/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities & Requirements Position / Specialty: IMC/ Stepdown/PCU RN. Shift: 3x12 Days (0645-1915). Ratio/daily caseload: As per facility. Required experience: Minimum 1 year. First-timers accepted: No. Weekend requirement: Will work every other weekend. Certifications required: BLS and NIH required; ACLS preferred. On‑call: No. Clinician will float as needed to meet facility needs. Block schedule accommodatable after discussion. Locals accepted: Yes – no radius restriction. Pending License: Must have active IL license. RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days. Guaranteed hours: Client may call‑off up to 36 hours per thirteen‑week assignment without paying for the cancelled hours; excess will be billed. Special Requirements: Work setting experience: Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown. Cardiac monitoring and emergency response: Interpretation & management of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring, rapid response teams. Cardiovascular: Post‑cardiac angiogram, post‑MI, pre/post cardiac cath and surgery, sheath removal, TR band. Gastrointestinal: Feeding tube care and management. Genitourinary/Renal: Pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure. IV therapy/Phlebotomy: Port access, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, peripheral line care, PICC line management, IV initiation. Medication: Heparin protocols, cardiac drips (no titration), vasoactive drips (no titration), PCA, procedural sedation, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips. Neurological/Psychiatric: Craniotomy, CVA, pre/post neurosurgery, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury. Orthopedics: Orthopedic trauma, peripheral nerve block catheters, total joint replacements. Plastic Surgery: Skin grafts, surgical drains. Respiratory: Ventilated patient care, chest tubes, external CPAP/BIPAP, high flow nasal cannula, ABG interpretation, nasal cannula, oxygen masks, portable oxygen, non‑invasive airway management, tracheostomy management. Professional: Isolation precautions, wound care, wound vac. Preferred experience: Cerner, teaching hospital, Level I trauma. Level I trauma experience preferred.
