Electrical Estimator

Nashville, TN (Office in Hendersonville, TN) | Full-Time Role (Benefits, PTO + Company Vehicle)

We are partnered with a locally owned electrical contractor based in Hendersonville, TN, serving residential and commercial customers throughout Middle Tennessee. Their work includes new construction, tenant build-outs, service work, repairs, and electrical upgrades.

We are looking for an Electrical Estimator to help prepare accurate estimates and proposals for residential and commercial electrical projects.

We're open to candidates coming from different backgrounds within the electrical industry. Experience as an Electrical Estimator, Project Manager, Electrical Foreman, Superintendent, or experienced Lead Electrician can all provide a strong foundation for this role. Candidates who are earlier in their estimating career but have strong electrical experience are encouraged to apply.

The right candidate will have a solid understanding of electrical systems and construction, be comfortable reviewing plans and scopes of work, and be able to translate project requirements into accurate material, labor, and pricing estimates.

What You'll Do

• Prepare estimates and proposals for electrical projects
• Review electrical drawings, plans, specifications, and scopes of work
• Perform material takeoffs and determine labor requirements
• Develop accurate project pricing and identify potential cost issues
• Obtain and review vendor and subcontractor pricing
• Communicate with customers, general contractors, vendors, and field personnel
• Visit jobsites when needed to understand project requirements
• Assist with change orders, revisions, and updated project pricing
• Work closely with project management and field teams to ensure estimates align with actual project requirements
• Identify potential scope gaps, conflicts, or issues before work begins
• Maintain organized estimating and project documentation

What We're Looking For

• Experience estimating electrical construction or service work
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, materials, and construction practices
• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications
• Experience with material takeoffs and labor estimates
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and follow-through
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines
• Comfortable working with customers, contractors, vendors, and field electricians
• Residential and/or commercial electrical experience preferred
• Experience with estimating software is a plus
