CNC Machinist III

Location and Compensation Buffalo, NY. Join us at Edwards Genesee located at 6685 Crosby Rd, Basom, NY 14013, as we prepare for production at the Western NewYork Science & Technology Advanced Manufacturing Park (STAMP). Salary Range: $60,000 – $99,000. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. Your role As a CNC Machinist III, you will be a highly skilled professional responsible for advanced machining operations, mentoring others, and contributing to technical problem‑solving and continuous improvement initiatives. You will report to the Team Leader. Responsibilities Expertly operate and troubleshoot HMC, mill‑turn, grinder, and balancer machines across various part families. Serve as a subject matter expert in safety, quality, and SOP compliance. Proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve complex machining or process issues. Champion 6S workplace practices and promote continuous improvement initiatives. Lead root‑cause analysis in collaboration with engineers and team leaders when technical issues arise. Mentor and train junior machinists, supporting skill development and team knowledge transfer. Recommend process optimizations and support pilot runs or new setups as needed. Qualifications 8+ years of CNC machining experience with demonstrated technical leadership. Proficiency in blueprint reading, GD&T, and CNC programming basics. Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting, setups, and precision adjustments. Strong communication skills and experience in cross‑functional collaboration. Proper protective equipment is required daily.
