CAD Operations and Support Engineer

We are seeking a skilled CAD Operations and Support Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting and maintaining our Siemens NX and Dassault Systems SolidWorks installations globally. You will also provide technical and administrative support for additional CAD and engineering applications as required. This position is key to ensuring smooth CAD operations, improving user efficiency, and driving compliance with best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide end-user technical support to CAD users across the organization.
• Design and manage CAD application configurations tailored to product lines and diverse teams.
• Collaborate with Digital Technology management and stakeholders to develop and implement CAD strategies.
• Plan, develop, and execute CAD version upgrades and maintain version standards.
• Ensure adherence to best practices to enhance user productivity and streamline business processes.
• Oversee and monitor CAD software licenses, ensuring compliance with licensing constraints.
• Create and maintain self-help guides and technical documentation for CAD users.
• Maintain and standardize CAD components, templates, and libraries.
• Test CAD applications and integrations on new hardware configurations.
• Act as a single point of contact between end users and software vendors.
• Troubleshoot and maintain testing/lab environments to address reported issues.
• Configure, test, and package new versions of supported applications for rollout and self-serve installations.
• Assess, configure, and test new CAD applications as Proof of Concepts.
• Facilitate CAD/CAM user group meetings and learning sessions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should have:

• A degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Computer Science
• 3+ years of experience using, maintaining, and/or supporting CAD applications.
• Alternatively, if you do not hold a degree, you should demonstrate 5+ years of equivalent experience with CAD applications.
• Strong customer focus and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working with Siemens NX and/or Dassault Systems SolidWorks (preferred).
• Familiarity with other CAD tools and engineering software.
• Experience in the Oil & Gas domain (preferred).
