Position Summary

The Teacher Specialist supports instructional excellence by coaching and mentoring teachers, assisting with curriculum implementation, analyzing student performance data, and supporting campus instructional initiatives. This position works collaboratively with campus leadership and instructional staff to improve teacher effectiveness and student achievement.

Education and Experience

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge of curriculum development and instructional best practices.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to analyze student data and support instructional improvement.
• Proficiency in computers, word processing, database software, and educational technology.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of exemplary teaching experience.
• Experience in teacher training, mentoring, or instructional coaching preferred.

Major Responsibilities and Duties

• Observe, model, coach, and support teachers in effective instructional practices and classroom management strategies.
• Assist teachers with lesson planning, instructional delivery, assessment development, and curriculum implementation.
• Analyze student achievement data and collaborate with teachers to develop instructional interventions and improvement plans.
• Support the planning, development, evaluation, and continuous improvement of curriculum and instructional programs.
• Facilitate professional development sessions and provide ongoing instructional coaching to campus staff.
• Collaborate with curriculum specialists, instructional consultants, and teacher preparation program coaches.
• Provide direct instructional support to individual students or small groups as needed.
• Assist with the selection and implementation of instructional materials and resources.
• Coordinate and support summer school programs and activities.
• Meet and confer with teachers, department chairs, parents, and administrators.
• Attend relevant school, district, and professional meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
