About Us

• S&S Pipeworks, (facility located in Coldspring, TX), is a leading provider of carbon and stainless-steel piping fabrication services for the waterworks industry.

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced Industrial Steel Piping Sandblaster. This role maintains and operates sandblasting equipment to remove contaminants from steel piping spools. This is a single person department, where the individuals works independently to ensure both safety and quality in abrasive blasting processes. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in industrial sandblasting and strong physical stamina to perform demanding tasks efficiently.

Important Hiring Information

• Home every evening. Zero travel required.
• Small-to-medium sized family owned business.
• Business hours are (4) 10 hour days Monday-Thursday.
• Positions are currently 1099 contract with minimal hours over 40.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for coating or finishing through thorough abrasion
• Operate sandblasting equipment safely and effectively
• Handle abrasive materials to meet project specifications
• Maintain dust control during blasting operations to ensure a safe work environment

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in industrial sandblasting

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient in the operation of sandblasting equipment
• Knowledgeable about various abrasive materials
• Experienced with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Ability to perform equipment maintenance
• Strong physical stamina for solo, demanding work
• Effective team collaboration and problem-solving skills
