Shop ManagerResponsibilities of the Shop Manager include but are not limited to:Works closely with the Regional Service Manager to develop and accomplish long-range operating and service sales growth goalsWillingness and ability to perform shop and field repairs when necessary.Plans and directs the work of the Service Technicians, placing particular emphasis on the successful completion of service jobsContinually improves and develops standards for the Service DepartmentAssisting the hiring process of new technicians as the region growsAdministers safety, technical, and process training as required for departmentOrganizes shop to accomplish operational goals and advises Regional Service Manager on staff requirementsMonitors Service Department to ensure efficient use of man power and compliance with customers' requirementsWorks with Sales Professionals to prepare technical proposals and support customer needsWorks with the Safety Coordinator to ensure that the service department operates according to Company Safety policies, both in the shop and in the fieldQualifications of the Shop Manager include but are not limited to:Experience in pump and/or other rotating equipment requiredPrevious employee management experienceTechnical competency and familiarity with a variety of field's concepts, practices, and proceduresAbility to motivate team and accomplish goalsAdditional Information:This position is a hands-on position. The willingness to perform repairs is a mustPhysical Demand: Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassistedWorking Conditions: Shop Environment /Field /Oil & Gas/ Mine sites/ RefineriesTraining/Certifications: N/AShift Time/Overtime: Must be able to work overtime as necessaryTravel: Travel to client sites.
