Job Description:

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Med/Surg unit to provide patient care and support in a busy healthcare environment. Must have strong trauma/surgical skills and be proficient in wound care and medication administration.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care for general surgery and vascular surgery patients.
• Administer medication and document patient progress.
• Perform wound care, chest tube management, and IV skills.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to plan and coordinate patient care.
• Monitor telemetry and interpret strip readings every 4 hours.

Requirements:

• At least 18 months of Med/Surg experience with EPIC or Cerner.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required.
• Proficient in trach care, PEG tubes, and wound care management.
• Ability to work in variable patient care settings including MS/Oncology and Orthopedics.
• Experience in handling PCA pumps and monitoring CVL dressing changes.
