Shift Details

This position offers a variety of shifts, primarily mid-shifts, with occasional day shifts available. Shifts start at:

07:00 AM
08:30 AM
11:00 AM
02:00 PM

Weekend on-call coverage is required once a month, along with holiday coverage as needed.

Job Description

The selected candidate will be responsible for performing standardized instrument processing and decontamination procedures to prevent the spread of infection, illness, or disease. This role requires independent judgment and sound decision-making to support the functionality of the department through effective disinfecting, distribution of supplies, and any necessary equipment maintenance, testing, and setup.

The candidate will:

Execute safe and precise sterilization procedures while adhering to all relevant regulations and codes.
Integrate educational knowledge with technical competence to maintain optimal patient care.
Ensure privacy and safety in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications

Required certifications: CRCST or CSPDT, BLS
At least 3 years of experience in a related field
Experience in acute hospital settings is preferred

Key Skills

Proficient in aseptic techniques and sterilization processes.
Knowledge of biological and chemical indicators for decontamination.
Ability to organize and prepare surgical trays for various specialties.
Experience with steam sterilization, high-level disinfection, and the use of sterilization equipment.

Additional Information

This position requires onsite attendance with scheduling flexibility. The contract schedule will be provided in 4-week increments. Candidates are expected to complete all necessary compliance documentation promptly.
