Caregiver for Elderly in Washington, D.C., USA

We are a home care agency located in Washington DC and we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated caregiver to provide assistance to elderly clients in their homes. As a caregiver you will be responsible for supporting the physical, emotional and social needs of our clients while promoting their independence and well‑being. Responsibilities Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, dressing and toileting Prepare meals according to dietary restrictions and assist with feeding if needed Administer medication according to prescribed schedule Accompany clients to appointments and provide transportation Engage in meaningful conversation and activities with clients Monitor clients' health and report any changes to supervisor Maintain a safe and clean environment for the client Offer emotional support and companionship to clients Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 6 months experience working as a caregiver or similar role preferred Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with elderly clients Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Benefits Competitive salary of $1200 per month Flexible schedule Training opportunities Supportive work environment This is a contract position with the potential for permanent employment based on performance.
