Lube Technician

Overview We are now hiring a Lube Technician in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Transdev in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma is seeking an experienced Lube Technician to bolster our team. This position will perform routine and some non-routine maintenance work on vehicles (primarily Class 8 Trucks and Pickups) which adheres to Transdev standards. As a Lube Technician, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our diesel-powered assets. Key Responsibilities Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers by performing limited repairs with moderate supervision on basic maintenance such as replacement of light bulbs, fuses, lenses, wiper blades, belts, hoses, batteries, check fluid levels, change fluids and filters and lubricate components. Perform minor mechanical repairs under moderate supervision. Maintain records of all maintenance work completed on vehicles including parts and supplies used. Ensure that work orders are completed properly and accurately. Maintain parts usage records and order repair parts from designated suppliers. Perform preventative maintenance (PMs), safety maintenance inspections and annual maintenance inspections at prescribed intervals of time and usage. Notify supervisor of potentially dangerous equipment and corrective action taken. Evaluates completed work prior to release and seeks approval where required. Adhere to Transdev standards, policies and procedures. Moves vehicles safely between job and work area. Repair and maintain all shop equipment. Cleans vehicles as requested or required. Other responsibility as requested or required. Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair (preferred). Class B CDL with air brake endorsement (preferred). Beginner mechanical aptitude and 1 year of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred) or equivalent education and experience. Adhere to standards set by state DOT for motor vehicle inspections and safety standards. Valid driver’s license. Possess adequate mechanic tool inventory to complete all assigned duties and maintain in a clean and safe manner. Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. Physical Requirements The essential functions of this position require the ability to work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions. 100% of the job is performed outside, and may involve working alone or in remote locations. Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces. Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to access equipment stored at ground level. Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
