Job Summary

As a Civil Engineering Intern, you will support engineers and designers working on site development, transportation, utility, grading, and drainage projects. You will gain hands-on exposure to civil design tools, technical documentation, field conditions, multidisciplinary coordination, and project delivery while contributing to active assignments with guidance from experienced professionals.  

What You’ll Do

• Assist with civil drawings, calculations, reports, data collection, and other project documentation. 
• Support grading, drainage, utility, roadway, and site layout design and coordination. 
• Participate in project meetings, site visits, field observations, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

What You’ll Learn

• How civil engineering principles, design tools, codes, and technical standards are applied to real projects.
• How site plans, calculations, reports, and construction documents are developed and reviewed. 
• How civil engineers coordinate with survey, structural, environmental, architectural, and other project disciplines.

Qualifications

Required

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Civil Engineering or a related field. 
• Completion of relevant engineering, design, or technical coursework. 
• Basic understanding of civil engineering principles. 
• Basic proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design software and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred

• Internship, co-op, or project experience related to civil engineering. 
• Familiarity with grading, drainage, utilities, transportation, or site development concepts. 
• Involvement in ASCE or related engineering organizations.
