Responsibilities include coordinating staffing needs, assisting with clinical evaluations, participating in hiring and evaluation, monitoring compliance with certifications, licenses and required education, assisting in the coordination and delivery of patient care, interfacing with patients and families, planning and evaluating compliance with organizational, regulatory policies and procedures, designing, implementing and evaluating respiratory care models, utilizing evidenced based, quality clinical respiratory care practice, expressing ideas clearly and effectively, embracing and communicating and promoting change, utilizing effective fiscal management skills, contributing to the strategic and financial planning, cultivating exemplary customer service, facilitating and supporting team member involvement in professional and organizational activities, demonstrating professional accountability, maintaining compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures, knowledge of risk management concepts, participating in process improvement activities, and able to interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to their age specific needs.

Qualifications include graduate from an approved school of Respiratory Care and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the NBRC, Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care, Cardiopulmonary Sciences, Business Administration or Health Science Administration; or Associate Degree in Respiratory Care plus any NBRC Specialty Certification (NPS, RPFT, ACCS) or Asthma Educator Certification (AE-C) with documented supervisory and/or management experience, maintains current professional license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in the State of Florida, maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider certificate; and as determined by specialty area ACLS, PALS, or NRP is required, and three (3) years' experience as a registered respiratory therapist in the acute care setting.
