Emergency Room Registered Nurse

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will work in a general emergency department that serves both adults and pediatrics. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience. Candidates must possess certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC. The role involves managing a variety of patient conditions including abdominal pain, acute psychosis, asthma, and traumatic brain injury. Experience with emergency medications and interpreting arterial blood gases (ABGs) is essential. The nurse will be responsible for triaging patients and managing care for ventilated patients. Float requirements may apply as needed. Candidates must be able to work every other weekend. It is preferred that the candidate has experience with a charting system, specifically Community Client. RTO restrictions ideally should not exceed 5 days. The facility provides interdisciplinary support in various areas including physical therapy and radiology. The daily patient census averages around 41, with a mix of neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The Emergency Services unit handles a wide range of patient diagnoses and procedures. All candidates must complete compliance requirements promptly.
