Key Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans and goals focused on progressing patients toward discharge.
• Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines.
• Delegate and direct all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals.
• Design functional treatment programs that support effective return to community activities.
• Participate in student programs as assigned, providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations.
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and other regulatory requirements, and actively pursue professional development through continuing education and professional organizations.

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in good standing in the state of Missouri.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist (new graduates will not be considered).
• Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific State Practice Act and professional code of conduct.
• Ability to complete thorough clinical documentation in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting.
• Experience mentoring or supervising physical therapy students.
• Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and organizational quality initiatives.
