Environmental Services Technician

Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site role located in Middletown, CT, for an Environmental Services Technician. The technician will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment across various areas of the hospital. Daily responsibilities include cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, common areas, and specialized facilities, as well as handling waste disposal and replenishing supplies. The individual will also adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines in compliance with healthcare standards. Qualifications Strong knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and materials used in maintaining hygiene and safety standards in healthcare facilities. Experience working with infection control protocols and hospital safety guidelines. Ability to operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and disinfectant sprayers. Attention to detail, time management skills, and a commitment to cleanliness and safety. Effective communication with team members and staff to ensure a well‑structured workflow. High school diploma or equivalent is required; prior experience in a healthcare or environmental services role is preferred.
