Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our team here at Mellow. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a strong understanding of meal preparation and food service. As a Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, assisting in the preparation of high-quality ingredients and dishes that meet our restaurant's standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
• Execute food preparation tasks with precision, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Following recipes and instructions accurately.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives and other food preparation tools.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods.
• Assist with catering events as needed, preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 35 per week
