What You'll Do:

• Perform transthoracic and stress echocardiograms and other cardiac ultrasound procedures based on physician orders
• Apply knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology to produce diagnostic-quality images
• Accurately document and label studies according to standards
• Collaborate with cardiologists and clinical staff to ensure accurate diagnostic support
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment adhering to safety and quality protocols
• Communicate effectively with patients, providing education and support as needed
• Participate in routine equipment maintenance and quality control procedures

What You Need:

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited echocardiogram or cardiovascular sonography program
• Valid registration in Adult Echocardiography (RDCS), RCS, or Vascular Sonography (VS)
• BLS certification
• 1-3 years of echocardiography experience preferred

Preferred:

• Experience supporting inpatient, outpatient, OR, or cath lab imaging
• Ability to work independently with limited guidance
• Strong communication and patient care skills

About the Assignment:

This position supports a busy cardiovascular department engaging in diagnostic imaging to evaluate and treat cardiac conditions. The echocardiogram technician will perform a variety of ultrasound procedures, ensuring high-quality results that aid in patient diagnosis and treatment plans. The department operates Monday through Friday, with weekend call rotations approximately every 3-4 weeks, offering a balanced work schedule in a collaborative environment.
