Sourcing Specialist - New Product Development

We’re looking for a Sourcing Specialist to support new product development (NPD) and ongoing sourcing initiatives. In this role, you’ll work closely with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and suppliers to help bring new products to life—ensuring the right suppliers, costs, and materials are in place to meet launch timelines.

Job Duties

• Support sourcing activities for new product development projects and production parts , including supplier communication, RFQs, and quote analysis
• Partner with Engineering and cross-functional teams to support new product launches , part changes, and supplier selection
• Assist in evaluating suppliers for cost, quality, and delivery performance to meet project timelines
• Maintain accurate supplier, pricing, and part data within procurement systems
• Participate in cost analysis, comparisons, and savings tracking for sourcing initiatives
• Support supplier onboarding, documentation, and compliance requirements
• Track and report on supplier performance and project progress , escalating risks as needed
• Help coordinate sourcing activities to ensure materials are ready on time for production and launch milestones
• Build foundational skills in negotiation, supplier management, and project coordination

Minimum Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or related role
• Associate's degree (Business, Supply Chain or Engineering)
• Non-degree considered if 12+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED
• Frequent travel (6-20%) & Occasional overnight stays (0-5%)
• Must be willing to work onsite – New Bremen, Ohio

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting new product development or product launch activities
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes or engineering concepts
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and procurement systems
• Exposure to cost analysis, supplier negotiations, or RFQ processes
• Certifications such as CPSM, APICS, or CIPS (preferred but not required)
