Overview
We are looking for a proactive and skilled Facilities HVAC Technician to keep our building systems running smoothly and efficiently. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, and related mechanical systems across our facilities. The ideal candidate is someone with hands-on experience in field service, a solid understanding of HVAC design and schematics, and a passion for property maintenance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical knowledge in a dynamic environment while ensuring the comfort and safety of building occupants.
Duties

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, and ammonia refrigeration equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and schematics to identify faults quickly and accurately.
• Conduct equipment repairs or replacements involving plumbing, refrigeration components, or HVAC controls to ensure optimal operation.
• Assist with HVAC system installation projects, including reading schematics and supporting HVAC design specifications.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and system performance logs.
• Support property maintenance efforts by addressing appliance repair needs and performing welding or other mechanical tasks as required.
• Operate company vehicles safely to reach job sites promptly while adhering to all safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) or related fields.
• Knowledge of construction practices related to HVAC system installation and maintenance.
• Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and mechanical troubleshooting techniques.
• Hands-on experience with plumbing systems, refrigeration units (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, and equipment repair.
• Mechanical skills such as welding, use of ohmmeters, and general appliance repair are highly desirable.
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record; driver license preferred for field service roles.
