Schedule

• Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Weekend coverage required

Facility

• Critical Access Hospital
• 25 total beds

Department Overview

• Utilize CBORD Room Service system for patient meal ordering
• Assist patients with diet compliance and special dietary needs
• Communication system: overhead paging
• Support patient meal services and nutrition education
• Cater hospital meetings and community events

Food Service Operations

• Freshly prepared hot meals daily
• Breakfast: 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM
• Lunch: 11:00 AM – 1:30 PM
• Dinner: 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM
• Build-your-own sandwich and salad bar available 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Approximately 300+ patrons weekly; 70 patrons on weekends
• Patient phone orders managed from 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM
• Weekly community outreach meal service on Wednesdays

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition or equivalent required
• Master's Degree required if RD exam eligibility began on or after Jan 1, 2024
• Dietetic internship or equivalent required
• Clinical Dietitian experience preferred

Licensure & Certifications

• Registered Dietitian (RD) required within 6 months of residency completion
• Oregon Dietitian Licensure required
• Licensed Dietitian (LD) required

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct nutrition assessments and interventions
• Develop and monitor individualized nutrition care plans
• Provide diet education and counseling to patients
• Ensure compliance with physician-ordered diets
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Support food service operations and patient satisfaction initiatives
• Assist with menu planning and nutritional compliance standards
