Physically able to lift 50 pounds.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvide safe and efficient transportation of students to and from school and school sponsored activities.Maintain student discipline and enforce regulations regarding student conduct.Keep vehicle clean and report mechanical problems.Perform other duties related to transportation services as assigned.EVALUATIONBus Drivers are evaluated annually by the Transportation Director. Performance will be evaluated in accordance with Policies GDO and GDO-R: Evaluation of Classified/Support Staff.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENTThe Bus Driver position is an at-will position. Work Year: August-June 153 days per year, 6 hours per day (4-day week). Salary: Initial placement on the Classified Salary Schedule, column is at the discretion of the Superintendent. Salary is an hourly rate based on placement on the schedule. Work outside of regularly scheduled hours may be required to fulfill job duties and responsibilities. Work may need to be performed in narrow, poorly lighted, confined spaces.TOBACCO-FREE, DRUG-FREE, AND ALCOHOL-FREE SCHOOLS Smoking, chewing, or any other use of any tobacco products by staff, students, and members of the public is banned on school property in accordance with Platte Canyon School District Policy KFA. All illicit drugs, controlled substances and alcohol are banned from School District Property in accordance with Platte Canyon School District Policy GBEC.
