Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager

About the Position:

Kreider Farms is looking for a Food safety and Quality Assurance Manager to help lead our food safety and quality programs. This position will report to the Director of Food safety and Quality.


The Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager collaborates with management and employees throughout the organization to ensure compliance with applicable food safety and quality standards, support audit readiness, and foster a strong culture of food safety and quality.


What You'll Do:

• Maintain the Quality Assurance and Food Safety programs.
• Serve as an SQF Practitioner.
• Maintain HACCP and SQF programs and ensure compliance.
• Prepare for and coordinate food safety and quality audits.
• Investigate and resolve quality and food safety issues.
• Track quality data, records, and corrective actions.
• Partner with processing, production, and management teams to drive continuous improvement.
• Remain current on applicable regulatory requirements and support ongoing compliance efforts
• Facilitate food safety training and provide ongoing food safety and quality program support for staff.
• Travel to various company sites during the workday as required.
• Promote a strong culture of food safety and quality.

What We're Looking For:

• Degree in Food Science or related field; Food Safety and Quality Assurance, or equivalent experience preferred
• 5+ years of leadership experience in Quality Assurance
• Willing to be available during all hours of business operation as needed
• HACCP certification
• SQF experience preferred
• Strong computer and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels
• Fluent in English language required
• Bilingual in Spanish is a bonus
