Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist - $3,172 per week

Overview TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a travel assignment in Evanston, Illinois. Responsibilities Operate fluoroscopic equipment and assist physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. Prepare and observe patients undergoing procedures and report abnormal activity. Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, explain procedures and provide reassurance. Scrub in for diagnostic and interventional procedures; monitor patients during procedures. Maintain knowledge of radiation protection standards, devices, and techniques to minimize exposure. Understand anatomy, physiology, and pathology relevant to radiologic procedures to interpret examination requests. Operate intravenous (IV) and dye injector pumps. Maintain accurate patient records; use the PACS system (McKesson). Requirements 1 year of IR tech experience in acute care. BLS and ACLS; ARRT (R) and state-specific licensure when required; Vascular Interventional certificate preferred. Ability to stand and walk for long periods; ability to bend, lean, or stoop as needed; strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
