Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Job Summary The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. The role includes planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patients' needs. Key Responsibilities Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Develop, implement, and coordinate an individualized plan of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments. Initiate assessments based on patients' problems or needs, physician’s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework. Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage the care of patients. Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities. Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of evidence-based practices in care delivery. Provide patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model. Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
