Job Details Job Location: Arbor Acres Winston Salem - Winston Salem, NC 27104 Position Type: Part Time Education Level: None Salary Range: $16.00 - $17.00 Hourly Job Shift: Various Shifts Available Job Category: Health Care Security Officer Position Description Maintain the security of Arbor Acres by monitoring gate access, alarms, pages, radio communications, and the needs of residents/staff. Job Relationships Reports to the Director of Facilities, Security Supervisor, and Security Team Leader. Cross trains with Security Patrol. Duties and Responsibilities Complete various logs and audits as directed. Monitors Aldersgate entrance remotely 24/7 for Resident and Guest Access. Maintains communication between security patrol, maintenance, and residents after hours regarding maintenance issues. Will enforce gate access by signing in visitors and non-resident. Maintain door security and access. Monitor remote door access and allow access after hours. Monitor weather radio for severe weather. In case of severe weather, security will alert nurses and aide in decision-making for the safety of residents and staff. The security staff will give directions to residents and visitors, and have the ability to follow directions and communicate effectively. Have the ability to follow directions and complete tasks assigned by the Director of Facilities, Security Supervisor, and/or Team Leader. Monitor safe conditions on campus and perform security and safety rounds. Typical Physical Demands Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods. Must be able to handle exposure to severe weather. Must be able to handle moderate amounts of stress. Must be able to lift 30 lbs. Key Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must have the ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language. Must be able to effectively communicate with residents, family members, staff and emergency personnel. Must be flexible with working hours. Ability to embody and uphold the culture of the department and Arbor Acres with its emphasis on warmth, caring, generation of community, enthusiasm, achievement of excellence, and joy. Bilingual is a plus, but not required. Minimum Education High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum Experience Two years preferred in security or a similar field. License and/or Certification Required NC Drivers License. Demonstrated safe driving record. CPR certification required within three months of employment.
