Accounting Manager

DescriptionWe are looking for an Accounting Manager to oversee core accounting operations and lead an accurate, timely month-end close process in Texas. This role is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who can manage complex general ledger activity, maintain multiple sets of books, and support reliable financial reporting. The position also requires close coordination across accounting functions to strengthen reconciliations, journal entry review, and audit readiness.Responsibilities:• Direct the monthly close cycle, ensuring deadlines are met and financial results are complete and accurate.• Oversee general ledger activity and review account balances to maintain the integrity of financial records.• Prepare and approve journal entries, supporting documentation, and adjusting entries as needed.• Lead account reconciliation efforts and resolve variances in a timely manner.• Manage accounting for multiple entities or book sets while maintaining consistency in reporting standards.• Support financial statement preparation and coordinate deliverables for internal and external audit requests.• Analyze close results and identify areas for process improvement within day-to-day accounting operations.Requirements• Demonstrated experience leading month-end close activities in a detail-focused accounting environment.• Strong knowledge of general ledger structure, reconciliations, and journal entry review.• Ability to manage multiple sets of books with strong attention to detail and organization.• Experience supporting financial statement audits and preparing audit-related documentation.• Background in real estate accounting is preferred; hospitality industry exposure is a plus.• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.• Proficiency in researching discrepancies and resolving account issues efficiently.Job typePerm
