Dosimetrist

Dosimetrist Full‑time day shift, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Sign‑on bonus of $10,000 available for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment. This position involves performing isodose treatment planning by computer and/or manual computation to determine the optimal treatment technique that delivers a prescribed radiation dose to patients. The dosimetrist works closely with Radiation Oncologists and Medical Physicists in planning radiation therapy, performing dose distribution to achieve desired clinical goals, and interfaces with information services and demonstrates a clear understanding of computer applications and systems related to radiation therapy. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Science or equivalent and graduate of a medical dosimetry program with a minimum of 2 years clinical practice. Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Science or equivalent with on‑the‑job training in a medical dosimetry program under the supervision of a certified medical dosimetrist, radiation physicist, and radiation oncologist with a minimum of 3 years clinical experience. CMD holders received prior to 2011 may substitute ARRT registry for bachelor's degree per the MDCB (Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board). Upon hire: National Certified Medical Dosimetrist – Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board. Experience with RayStation treatment planning system and Elekta Mosaiq system.
