Land Survey Field Technician

Perform field survey activities to support the survey crew chief Operate survey instruments, levels, GPS, iPad, and data collector Receive training to operate survey instruments during the first year of employment Open and investigate utility manholes Set survey points with sledgehammer and on construction sites Stock survey supplies in survey vehicle Perform daily field survey activities as directed by the survey crew chief Requirements High School Diploma Certified Survey Technician, Associates Degree, Bachelors in Land Surveying or GIS preferred 0-1 years of experience Entry level position Basic knowledge of field surveying procedures desired but not mandatory Interpersonal skills to interface effectively with team members Positive attitude and professional bearing Demonstrated ability to learn new tasks and develop personally and professionally Must be service oriented and be excited to work in a team environment Valid Driver’s License Core Competencies Demonstrates foundational capabilities in field surveying, including the operation of survey instruments and effective teamwork.
